Friday, October 31, 2003You know what’s the worst way to spend 45 bucks in California? A parking ticket. I got one of those today, for the first time. It was about 2pm my time, and things were going well — they had gone well up to that point. Then I wondered where I had parked my car. When I saw it parked on the street that is cleaned every Friday between 10am and 12pm, my wallet suddenly became lighter. Forty-five bucks lighter. While my wallet got much lighter, my body did not. I’m stuck in the 60s. The 160s. I weighed myself today and the scale was perfectly balanced on 165, half a pound less than last week. And to commemorate the event, I did what any disappointed girl would have done in my situation: I took the first chocolate bar that was offered to me, no ifs or buts. The good thing is that for the second week in a row, I was able to go jogging for 20+ minutes every morning of this week. It takes a lot of willpower to do this. I may not be losing weigh, but I’m losing something, alright; my memory. I left my water-bottle at work, I forgot to help a coworker with a task we usually take care of together, and lastly, leaving my car, I forgot to bring with me the keys to my room. Sex-deprivation can mess one up so badly! 😀 We had a Halloween parade today at work, and I gotta say that Ms. Armacost was the finest cowgirl this side of the Mississippi. If you are a fine cowgirl living in California and would like to disagree with that statement I just made, please feel free to send me your picture, along with a 500-word essay stating why you deserve to treat me out to dinner. 😀 I’d be getting back to you the day that Nicole gets tired of my bad self… if she still hasn’t beaten you out of existence by then. 🙂 My day could have easily been better, but I can’t complain. At least it wasn’t as bad as that of the guy who got his hand stuck in a toilet, as he tried to recover his cell phone, which had fallen into it. (This entry was published with my two hands on the keyboard, and a donut in my mouth… mmm, good stuff. 170 pounds, here I come!) Posted by at 4:09 pm [Permalink]
