Sunday night saw me in the worst mood I’ve been under in a long time. I was working on homework when my computer screen messed up on me. I knew it wasn’t a minor thing because it had happened before and I knew it would lead to the screen remaining dark even when the computer was restarted.

Not being able to do one’s homework because of computer woes is frustrating. It is also frustrating to have the following dilemma: deciding whether or not to get another computer, considering one was bought in May of last year, and another one less than six months later — it’s not that easy to say “Poppa deserves a new computer.” when only five months have passed from the last one (October). Going to the store after deciding to get a new computer and getting lost, to eventually arrive to the store and find it closed, doesn’t help at all. All that happened to me in one single evening. Nice.

The saddest moment that day came through something my mother said: “Son, I don’t like to see you that way.” I was bad to my parents. My dad was telling me about how he had bought the kind of food that I liked, and it went ignored. My mother asked me if I was going to eat. I just said I wasn’t hungry. Shame on me for acting like a kid.
