A serious man asked me today in the last few quarter-hour of work, “What is your job here? Do you coordinate what takes place in the playground during dismissal?” I explained to him that I’m a teacher assistant, but I spend most of my day outside, supervising the yard. He said he had seen me around, doing different things, alert at all times. He’s right about seeing me doing different things. These past days, for example, I’ve been standing in the middle of the street controlling traffic, asking parents not to double-park. It’s good to have one’s effort acknowledged.

Okay, back to doing my Educational Psychology homework now. I’m working on assignment 6. Then I’ll give assignment 9 a shot. If I succeed tonight, I’ll only have to worry about assignments 8 and 9 for the rest of the weekend. I’m going to give myself one day to do each one. Monday evening I’ll improve assignments 1-5, so I can turn them in on Tuesday for a better grade. If miracles do exist, I’ll be able to finish all assignments, play soccer on Sunday morning, and kick it with Nickers for at least an hour on Saturday night, and another hour on Sunday evening. I really want to go to work on Monday, but if my homework is not done by then, I’ll have no choice but to stay at home… 🙁
