Saturday, June 7, 2003I was talking to Nicole tonight and she told me about her day at work. She says that a guy came into the store where she works and hit on her. He called her beautiful when saluting her. When leaving, he insinuated that he wished all women he dealt with were like her. Her sharing this with me triggered a thought. Well, actually, two. One, the guy has good taste. 🙂 Two, I’m not one who calls a woman “beautiful”, even if she is. It doesn’t matter if that’s the most fitting adjective to describe her. For example, if a beautiful woman shares her picture with me online, I do not tell her my reactions. I take it for granted that she has already been told she’s beautiful, to the point of exhaust. Why waste my breath? What’s another “Ooh, momma!” from another Joe Dirty? I suppose I say this from personal experience. To me, a compliment (regarding looks) is meaningless if it comes from a girl I’m not interested in. If the compliment comes from a girl I like, it carries some weight, but ultimately I think, “Damn, she must really like my personality!” Hehe. In the end, I don’t expect my special someone to dig me for my physical attributes… I expect her to love me in spite of them. And she knows that. 🙂 Posted by at 8:04 pm [Permalink]

From my experience with the wonderful and complex female gender, ive learned that they do love complements as long as they are done in a tasteful manner, they wanna know why you think they are beautiful, details, the new hair cut, or the new tan she got on her vacation, her smile or how that color brings out her eyes, remember ITS THE LITTLE THINGS THAT MAKE HER SMILE
