Last night Laprima had to go pick up my mother at her new job. She tried getting the directions from me, but I was half-asleep when I said, “take blah street, make a left, then a slight-right, look for a yellow house.”

With my directions, she was able to get to an intersection very close to the house, but didn’t know where to go from there. The intersection seemed familiar, though. She remembered that about two months ago she had been in the area with my mother (yeah, yard-sales). She had noticed a very tall, black man standing in his garage, surrounded by boxes, as if he had just moved in. His height was out of the ordinary.

Coincidentally, last night she was looking for the house of a basketball player who had recently moved into the area. Now all she had to do was remember where she had seen the tall, black man. Her memory kicked in, and sure enough, it led her to the home of my mother’s new boss. 🙂 Yup, the stranger she had seen two months ago was my mother’s boss-to-be. Small, freaky world.
