Sunday, January 4, 2004Barry got himself a used 2001 Honda last night. Today we took it to his church to have it christened. “Will you guys be coming to mass?” asked the priest. “We live far,” we responded. Then he asked where we lived, and it turned out that he lived farther away than we did. Heh, there went our excuse. But we needn’t say more, since the priest had a sense of humor. “Remember, even though I’ve Christened your car, it doesn’t mean that you can drive like crazy, o-kay?” Mario was with us tonight. He and I boarded a touchy subject. I asked if he had any resentments against those 20-something-year-olds who used to jump high school students into their gang. It’s been about seven years, and yes, he still does. It’s understandable. He was one of those kids they jumped. And so was Barry. And me. What would I do if I came across them? Good question. I don’t hold hard feelings for what they did to me, as much as for what they may still be doing to others. Bums. But hey, for a more definite answer, stick around and maybe one day I’ll answer this one a posteriori… it’s a small world, don’t you know? 🙂 Posted by at 11:09 pm [Permalink]
