Ah, the DMV; it gets more crowded each time I go! Luckily, I had made an appointment and cut my waiting time. Ah, but some dude sitting next to me did not. He was a 40+ year old Mexican guy, and he was accompanied by whom I deemed to be his father. The guy kept complaining, “What the hell is wrong in this place?! We’ve been waiting for hours!” The father, in a very calm voice would say, “Don’t worry about it. Be patient. Soon they’ll call us.” And the son would go on with his bitching, and the father would respond to everything with a reassuring thought. I almost felt these guys were hired by the DMV to entertain us and at the same time send a message, “be patient, your turn will come, or lose your cool and make a fool out of yourself like this guy!”

Ah, but at one time the father said, “You’re like the typical Hispanic, so impatient, so easily irritated. You have warm blood and quickly become frustrated, as if you were from Guerrero!” I almost interrupted them to say, “Heyyyyy!!!” because I’m from Guerrero, but I just wasn’t in the mood to get my ass kicked in front of so many people. 🙂

The girl at Window 13 took good care of me. I was able to register the Explorer, transfer my personalized licensed plates from my Eclipse to the Explorer, and have a new set of plates assigned to the Eclipse. Normally, this would have meant another visit to the DMV, but she took care of it all in one visit. My having shaved this morning seems to have paid off… 😉

Ah, speaking of this morning, I saw Oreyda. I said hi to her, and she responded flirtatiously, “Hey, it’s been so long since you’ve said hi to me!” Heh, I used to have a big crush on that girl. (I say that a lot, don’t I? :))
