Tuesday, August 24, 2004One down, 17 to go. Well, something like that. Today was my first class meeting for my Chicano Studies course. The teacher asked us to pair up with a classmate and interview them, to later present them to the class. It was my turn to present my partner. Unlike the people before (and after) me, I got up to stand in front of the classroom. The young teacher moved from the center to the side. I looked at her and said in a very friendly voice, loud enough for others to hear, “Heyyyy, don’t be sssshhhhhy.” Hehe, for some reason my classmates found that funny. I said other things and bingo, more laughter. Yeah, I amaze myself. 🙂 Saying silly things has its rewards but it also bears a high price. (Oh lord, the times that I’ve made a fool out of myself!) You never know what reaction will follow the silliness, until it actually takes place. What’s funny with a group of people, might not work with another. What’s funny on Monday might not work on Wednesday. It’s a risky biz, I tell you… so, be unlike me, and leave it to the pros. 🙂 Posted by at 9:46 pm [Permalink]
