I recall working on my site many full moons ago when I heard the phone ring. It was Amber. She had called to ask why I had been avoiding her in the past two weeks or so. I gave her my reasons and I also asked that we each go our own ways.

When I hanged up the phone, I laid in bed and asked myself, “What’s going to become of me?” I knew that with the end of that phone call I had just embarked in a long journey. In fact, I had.

Since that Sunday evening of December, 2002, I’ve made hundreds of entries to my blog and many of them have been about her. Blogging became my way of healing my broken heart (one way, I should say). It’s interesting to me that I had been working on my blog’s very first entry when I received that call two years ago today. So I guess this is… my blog’s second birthday. 🙂

Just for the record…

My blog was born on December 15, 2002 (I removed some of the entries, though). However, my site itself was born in the Summer of 2000. That summer, the site that you know as Dusky’s Pad was a (GeoCities-hosted) webpage featuring a picture of me as well as basic info about me, including “10 Reasons Why I Think I’m Weird.”

I thought a bit of trivia wouldn’t hurt… 🙂
