On my way to class I saw a highschool classmate. My, how much we’ve aged! It’s been almost a decade since I last saw her, and our age is not only reflected in our face, but also in our body. I thought, “if that’s how she looks, then I must look like… damn!” I didn’t say hello to her because the last thing I want is to find myself in the situation where I have to force a person to try and remember me. (“Don’t you remember the guy who blah blah blah? What about the time when blah blah blah?”) Besides, it’s even harder when the person relies mainly in American Sign Language to communicate, and my ASL has gone the way of the rotary phone… obsolete.
